Saturday was my birthday, and we had a rockin' awesome party to watch the Sounders soccer game and have some birthday cake. One of the guests brought green cupcakes to match the green colors of the Sounders (and it happens to work for Easter too). We also had a delicious dinner made by the Studly Hubby that was supplemented with yummy sides supplied by other guests. We had 11 people over, which completely filled up our living room, and there were even more people I would have liked to invite. Next time we are looking for a place to live I think a larger living room might be on our list of requirements, so we can have even bigger rockin' awesome parties.
This was our first big party since we moved to Seattle, I think, and it was a great success!
The cupcakes and cake, which were both superb. Another fantastic dessert was an amazing vegan cobbler brought by a guest and completely polished off at the party... yum!
The Studly Hubby had a lot of recovering to do on Sunday. He was a great birthday party organizer and host and I gladly recognized and accommodated his need to take it easy on Sunday.
